Ted died in Wasilla, Alaska in July of 2014. After the traumatic event of having his leg blown- off in Viet Nam, Navy Medical Corpsman Eichele eventually settled in Arizona as an x-ray/scan tech for a group of doctors. After retiring, Ted and wife bought 5 acres near Wasilla where Ted passed after several years there.
Ted, you were a sweet guy! We met in grade school and stayed friends all that time. For a while in 6th grade, our relationship escalated-you were the first boy I kissed-I will never forget that. You left us too soon because of the war as so many others did. I read were your cancer was caused from agent orange. Another unfortunate consequence of the Vietnam War.
I would have loved to see you in September but you be there in our hearts and prayers.
