David William “Dave” Lehman
January 4, 1948 - October 21, 2018

David William Lehman was born on January 4, 1948 to Paul Cleve Lehman and Virginia (Hein) Lehman, He passed away on October 22, 2018. He was raised on the family farm east of Billings. He attended Trinity Lutheran Schools, Lockwood Schools and graduated from Billings Senior High. He enlisted in the US Navy; after his discharge he returned to the family farm to take over for his father. He raised grains, hay and cattle for many years. Dave endured many trials in his life and now rests peacefully. 

He was preceded in death by his mother just 91 days prior. He is survived by his father, Cleve; three brothers — James, Paul (Brenda) and Thomas; one sister, Laura (Ray); and nephews and great nephews. 

We would like to thank the staff at Beartooth Manor nursing home in Columbus, Montana for the care they gave Dave for the past 9 months. 

A graveside memorial service (was) held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 29, 2018 in the Yellowstone National Cemetery, Laurel, Montana.

Regardless of past disagreements with distribution of irrigation water, I admired Dave's irrigation skills, his hard work and dedication to the family farm. Rest in peace Dave.
