Staley, Thomas George 

Tom Staley passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009, in Phoenix, Arizona. Tom was born in Billings, Montana on March 3, 1948, the son of George H. and Ethel (Mann) Staley.

Tom married his soul mate, Sue, in June 1988. Tom received his education in Billings, MT. He served his country with the US Navy from 1966 through 1970 receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He recently retired from Food Services of America after serving as President and CEO for the past 13+ years. Tom held positions in many areas of the industry during his 38 year career with FSA including driver, sales associate, produce and frozen food buyer, credit manager, district sales manager and Branch President.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, George H. Staley. Survivors include his dedicated and loving wife, Sue; mother, Ethel McSweyn; children: Michelle Borsum (Daniel) and Paul Staley (Arlis); grandchildren: Connor, Stephen, Meagan and Morgan Borsum; sisters: Karen Glasser (Henry) and Christie Jacobson (David); and, stepmother, Mary Staley. Tom is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Gathering for Tom will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 A.M. at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ; and in Billings, MT at the Holiday Inn – The Grand Montana, Big Horn Room, 5500 Midland Road on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00 A.M.
