Diane Louise (Green) Torres

Diane Louise (Green) Torres, 70, passed away on Nov. 5, 2018 in Auburn, Washington, of pneumonia. She had suffered a stroke two years earlier. Diane was born Oct. 30, 1948 in Billings, the third child of Virginia M. (Lofgren) and Darrell L. Green.

She attended McKinley Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High, and Billings Senior High. Diane lived in Billings most of her life working mostly in retail. After retiring she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, spent time rocking addicted and abandoned babies, and cared for stray and abandoned animals. She was a caregiver first for her father, then her children, and finally her grandchildren. She overcame many medical obstacles during her life: spinal surgery, a knee replacement, heart attack, cancer and two strokes.

Diane is survived by her four children: Cyndi Reiter of Auburn, Washington, James (Tamie) Eldridge of Billings, Becky Clark of Lufkin, Texas, and Rose Corchado of Harlowton; nine grandchildren: Avery and Brandon Reiter of Auburn, Washington, Angela and James, Jr. Eldridge of Billings, Anthony Pogue and Alasia Johnson of Lufkin, Texas, Brianna Allen and Savanna Swarthout of Billings, and Sage Corchado of Auburn, Washington. Two great grandchildren: Alexander and Keegan Pogue of Lufkin, Texas. She is also survived by two brothers: Duane (Judi) Green of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Doug (Karin) Green of Billings.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Billings next summer.
