Bill Wolfe died peacefully on March 23, 2007, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born in Billings on June 29, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, W.J. "Bill" and Bernice Wolfe. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; children Patrick and Amy; sister Sandy; brother Bob; nephews Mitchell, Tom and Monty.

Bill worked for Payne Financial Group until he retired in 2005. Bill loved his Lord, life, family, friends, community sports and reading. He had a real servant's heart and gave much time and energy to many community organizations, such as Friendship House, S.O.A.R. Club, Boys and Girls Club, and Alcoholics Anonymous.

A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held Monday, March 26, 3 p.m., at American Lutheran Church, in Billings.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Friendship House, 3123 Eighth Ave. S., Billings, MT 59101

Bill was one of those folks who developed step by step into the upper level of whatever he tried to do.  Brickley gave the eulogy at Bill's request.  The church was packed.  Look at the history of the guy:  Boys State, Varsity football, and he and the Brick played together from grade school onward, developed into a great financial/insurance agent.  He was a very friendly classmate who seemed to have a good grip on proper behavior with many social skills.  Bill was good to our world.
