I googled Anton, because I always wondered what happened to him.  He was a very talented and special guy, and I liked him very much.  I found a picture of his grave marker, and he died on April 9, 1987, having served in the Marines in Vietnam Nam.  His obituary says:  "  Services for Anton "Tony" Gangstad, 40, will be held at noon Wednesday at the Talkeetna Christian Center with the Rev. Randy Daniels offIciating.  Mr. Gangstad died April 9 in an automobile accident on the Parks Highway.

I hope he found happiness in Alaska.  He kept in touch with my mother after high school, because he felt comfortable going to her for advice.  I know he was very troubled after Larry Cole died.  God Bless you, Anton.
